Has anyone seen the movie Mimic? I swear the creatures in that movie are living in my refrigerator. I’m so used to the wall fans we had at my old place, it was like sleeping in an airplane hangar (spelling?), I couldn’t hear anything but wind. Now, I’m living in this silent area at the back of the property…I can’t stand all the creeking, shifting, and clicking that goes on back here. I’m sitting here right now and there’s this weird whispery clicking coming from the kitchen….CREEPY!

Here’s the view from the balcony of my new apartment. I picked this back corner of the property because it has a lot of grass and a gorgeous view. It even has central air which is FABULOUS considering the horribly warm weather we are experiencing in San Diego lately.

The apartment is the size of a small closet and I have to say goodbye to any kind of privacy, save for the bathroom. However, it’s good to be out on my own again.

I was working on an interview for Taylor from several snipetts of footage throughout her life and I came across this adorable piece where she’s whispering into the camera that she peed her pants.

When she gets close to the camera I took a freeze frame and it’s so cute that I had to share. It’s one of those rare moments that I wouldn’t have been able to capture in a picture but I got it with video… hooray!

So this is a picture of how Taylor looked today when we met with One Source Talent. Aren’t those some of the cutest goucho pants you’ve ever seen? I just love the color.

Anyway, One Source was thrilled to work with her and wanted to sign her up immediately. I have put a quick brake on the whole thing until she gets back from the summer with her Dad. Once she returns, we’ll get started on it. I just think it’s too important for her to get to know her father.

I answered a Craig’s List ad on Friday from One Source Talent who was “Looking for new faces.” I sent them a picture of Taylor and was invited to their open call on Saturday. This is a picture of Taylor on her way to meet them.

After a couple of interviews, measurements and photos they asked her to come back for a second-call. I had no doubts, of course, but she is very excited. We meet with them again on Monday… wish her luck!

Found this doosy on my patio this afternoon. It’s almost 3 inches long and dead on MY patio. Sorry for the bad photograph. Two boys were trying to run off with it so I made them wait while I took a quick picture before they tossed it in some poor little girl’s hair.

My eyes refused to believe it was a bug until I got closer. Alas, a bug it was. I thought the spider that almost crawled into my hair the other day was bad… I wouldn’t have recovered if this had fallen in my lap while I was sitting, or god forbid, eating out there.

I may never sit on my patio again.
